With a strong team, and the bulk of experience in OSA, I am confident that OSA can achieve what we envision today - to make all fishing vessel operations free from human rights abuses !
Karen supports the OSA team in project support, research, IT development and as an OSA assessor having undergone training in social accountability.
Karen’s key strength lies in her ability to readily adapt to the various skills required by clients and projects be it co-ordination and organisation, financial and administrative support, creative design of information and presentations, or systemic research.
Karen's experience includes the running of Terra Moana, a sustainability consultancy in NZ founded by OSA member Katherine Short and Tony Craig. She is involved in the design and running of the Fish4all App, a recreational fishing App in NZ and is excited to bring this experience to create the OSA digital system.
Karen is flexible in helping manage projects using simple spreadsheets or Microsoft Project Software and is certified in Prince 2 Project Management and have also completed a graphic design course.
She is a graduate from Otago University in New Zealand with a Degree in Nutrition and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health.
